The Sigma Chapter honored Doraine Bonnecaze Wilson, Sigma '69, on Sunday, April 26, 2009 for her years of service as Collegiate Chapter Director (CCD). Seventy-five family members, friends, university officials, house directors and current collegiate members and alumnae attended the open house at the Delta Zeta house on Sorority Row.

Lauren Whitman, Sigma '98, the new College Chapter Director, read the poem "We Love You" and expressed how important Doraine has been to the hundreds of sorority members whose lives she has touched in the past 11 years.

Katie Cicardo, Chapter President, presented Doraine with a framed photograph of all the 2009 members and read a poem from Angela Guillory, LSU Assistant Dean of Students and Director of Greek Life, titled "Ode to Doraine." Cicardo also presented Wilson with a decorative box containing letters from members and alumnae.

Sara Landreneau Kleinpeter, Sigma '98, Baton Rouge Alumnae Chapter President, presented Wilson with a rose pin from the Alumnae and also spoke of her contributions to the former members of Sigma Chapter.

Sharon Roberts Pol, Sigma '69, President of the Sigma House Corporation, spoke to the group of Doraine's legacy of service to the Sorority and unveiled a plaque dedicating the chapter room to "Doraine Bonnecaze Wilson, Sigma '69 for her 11 years of service to Sigma Chapter as CCD." The new chapter room was constructed during Doraine's tenure. It will continue to serve as a reminder to all Delta Zetas of the hard work, love and devotion that Doraine gave to Sigma Chapter.

Wilson thanked everyone for their support over the past 11 years and singled out Dr. William Jenkins, President Emeritus of the LSU System, who worked closely with the campus Greek organization during his tenure as Chancellor and President.
